"Get 20% off select books, dice, and D&D Beyond subscriptions from Nov. 24 until Cyber Monday. Then, on Cyber Monday, purchase select books for just $19.99 in our biggest sale of the year"
Does that mean, Get (20% off select books, dice, and D&D Beyond subscriptions from Nov. 24 until Cyber Monday) at 00:00 on monday and then new offers, select books will be 19.99 but the previous one is done .... or does that 20% will still hold on during monday for books that are not selected (aka everything that is already under 19.99$)
Wondering if i should be buying some books now and then get the other books on monday
Still hesitant on the legendary bundle, it might not worth it and i'll just take the sourcebook bundle so that i can share stuff with players...considering i'll have pretty much all the physical books shortly....
Thank you for your inputs. Maybe someone will know from last year's sale
the current 20% sale is on almost everything (i think pre-orders are excluded). On Monday, that sale ends and the $19.99 on selected books begins as a new and separate sale. I dont know which books will be selected, so that may be a gamble if you hold off until Monday.
I'd suspect that the other sale stops. The idea being that you are gambling as to whether your book going to be 20 on Monday, or play safe and get it for 24 now in case it's not 20 on Monday.
As for Legendary, I wouldn't bother in most circumstances. It was probably worth it at the beginning when it was only a few books, but now there are tons of them. That has two problems, first being it's really expensive, the other being that unless you use 85% or more of the content...it's cheaper to just not buy it and get books separately or with other bundles. 15% of content not used is a really low bar (in terms of numbers, it works out about $134, or about 5 books) - a couple of adventures that are the wrong genre for your taste, and you've spent more than you otherwise would. It was worth it before because you'd get the 15% discount which would pay back by the odd book you may not like by discounting future purchases - now that's likely to be a fair few books and so likely won't pay itself back).
The main situation I'd consider buying it is this:
You're in a strong group of friends who all love playing D&D together. You all use DDB, but have little or no content purchased, but want to and between you all, you want access to 85%+ of the content. You all trust one person to never swindle you, and you want maximum access. You could all chip in for Legendary, then get a Master Tier subscription for one of you, and voilà, you all have access to all books (since you're in a campaign together). If there's 7 of you, that be about $130 each as a one off payment, and then a little under $1 a month to share the books.
That's a pretty niche case though. I'd just stick with buying what you want, maybe getting a smaller bundle, for most cases.
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Well, apparently, on D&D Beyond | Facebook, the sale ends Dec 4. So technically, this mean that the 20% would still be running while the cyber monday sale is happening

yep....i guess the 19.99 sale took effect, but anywhere that wasn't applicable the 20% sale is still going.
Which is pretty cool.
