Well, this is my 4th or 5th go around at DM CoS, Oh ya, I am a free to play DM, luv this hobby too much to charge money. This is a fun module and can be suited to the tastes of individual DM's which is a win win for me at least. I think in my next go around of DM 'ing this module, I might make it an old western theme. Currently, I am running CoS as a gothic horror/ cosmic horror type of campaign. So to that end, I have really limited the playable races to just humans, elves and 1/2 elves, anything more and it wont feel like gothic horror to me as the DM. I mean, a dampier tiefling just rips the immersion factor from the game I think. Anyway, what do you allow or dis allow in your Ravenloft / Strahd campaigns? How do you justify crazy fantasy races IE firbogs, tabaxi, dragonborne and so on in that sort of campaign?
Just some thoughts and some insights in how I run my own campaigns.
Howdy there internet people.
