Hello! I'm not well versed in dnd really. Only a couple campaigns played a while back. But a friend of mine and I are hoping to find a group in our new city.
We don't really know where to begin, though?
The closest group I can find on Meetup is over an hour away even though we're in a fairly sizeable city. And the friendly local game store does not appear to have a regular meeting either. What other resources are out there to find adventurers near us?

You might see if some other location in your city hosts adventures league. This is the official sanctioned organized play. I’ve never done it, but some people say it’s a lot of fun, and a good way to meet others looking to form a group.
