I love the poster map that came with the new book, and that DnDBeyond has thoughtfully included in jpg form with the adventure.
But I wonder if anyone knows if there is such a world in which it would be possible to have a print of this on cloth? I'd give Wizards or a third party (whoever might be licensed to produce it) pretty much whatever they asked to get my hands on it!
If anyone has thoughts or ideas on this, I'd love to hear them!
Maybe check on Etsy? Seems up their alley. If someone isn’t doing it you might be able to find someone to commission. Or a local shop that makes custom T-shirts, maybe.
Yep! So did mine! It's in the back of the book. You have to tear it out very gently.
I bought a frame to hang it in the room where we'll be playing the campaign. But like OP, I wish it were printed on something that loaned itself more to that, and with more saturated colors.
I am not sure about the current license situation with Gale Force 9, but they did print campaign/adventure maps on vinyl as recently as The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. My LGS checked their system and their distributor is not showing a SKU for a Dragonlance map, but it could still happen.
The artist for the most current map is Francesca Baerald, and she is amazingly talented. I checked her site recently and did not see her selling the High-Res image, but hopefully she is able to sell it at some point in the future. Might be worthwhile sending an email asking for that capability as well.
If you do a google for Vinyl printing, there are several companies out there that will print a high res image on vinyl (I recommend 30x42 for size).
Yes and the poster map version is fantastic! Has all the labels for every region, city, town, fortification, and ruin you might want! If you have this unlocked here in DnDBeyond, they provide you with a jpg of the poster map, so you aren't missing out if you only have electronic Shadow of the Dragon Queen.

I hope this helps.
It does and thank you very much! Vinyl isn't cloth, but still much more rugged than paper, so this might be good for me to consider.
Here also is where the artist is selling licensed prints. Although some look like they'll be printed in higher quality, the largest size I saw available is only slightly larger than the poster map in the book, so you're probably best off just getting the book for most purposes.
Edit: I contacted the artist, and she said that she is looking into larger printing options, but that this may take a while. She says she'll post on her socials when larger options become available. She can't currently make a large digital image available, and she also can't sell prints of a beautiful personal map of Krynn that she painted a while ago since she doesn't have authorization from WotC. She came across as super sweet; she could easily just have ignored my message. I'm posting here so that she won't have to answer this same question 1,000 times!
Ultimately it is Staples to the rescue to print on durable vinyl on banner style that I can unroll on the game table and not worry about spills, water damage, etc, for less than $30 including tax.

Etsy was my first thought, too. But no "dice" so far! :D
But anyway, a local printer might be the way to go for a one-off, personal use only kind of thing.
Wait, yours came with a map?
