What class is that symbol meant to be? The thieves' gallery doesn't declare his class.

That's the symbol for Rogue. Hence the expertise and uncanny dodge and evasion and suspiciously large number of d6s.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

This movie looks absolutely awful. The Legend of Vox Machina got so much right, and this looks like pure garbage compared to that. D&D movies should be made for adults, not tweens. I can't believe they went the hokey jokey Marvel cinematic route with it.
Keyleth and Vex tripping on spores made me laugh out loud. That was fun for me. When weakened Grog got munched by a wolf? Funny as CENSORED.
Will anything like that be in this movie? No way! WOTC has gotten way to wholesome. Even the mushrooms in Tasha's don't have a temporary insanity or "pleasantly poisoned" effects. PG-13 all the way.
I never considered boycotting D&D so my objection to this movie is not because I'm mad about the OGL... It just looks bad.
Right, because when has a PG 13 movie ever had crude humor or visceral scenes?
Just saw an article today that the movie has partnered with Amazon for a special showing. Amazon prime members can get tickets to an early showing at certain theaters on March 19th. Here is a link to the article.

It previewed over the weekend to kick off SXSW, and it was extremely well received. the user and pro reviews are very good so far if from a limited sample size. so that's a great sign.
Was popping by the make sure folks were aware of the broader preview for Amazon members. Looks like the previews are all 2:00 pm local time, and at least where I'm at, pretty much every AMC theater in my area (my region lost a lot of movie theaters during the Pandemic but there are still quite few options within a reasonable drive).

yeah, Amazon partnered with Atom for a limited pre-release on the 19th. pretty much just one showing per location. still a cool thing tho
Really sorry to Necro this post, but I just wanted to say that the second trailer for the film came in a time when I was very concerned for the movie because of the OGL debacle. I literally just came home from the movie and OH MY GOD IT IS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED! IT IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER TO SHOW TO PEOPLE WHO ASK WHAT D&D IS LIKE! I'M GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN AT LEAST TWO TIMES THIS WEEK! I have seen movies in my life that were better movies BUT NOT A SINGLE ONE made me feel as HAPPY as I am right now.

Based on the dagger and domino mask, and the references to being a con man in the Thieves Gallery, I think Rogue is a pretty safe bet.
Yep, that's the Rogue icon from the PHB.

There's a 3 minute and some seconds from the "Let The Games Begin!" clip on YouTube from the weekend release.
Here's a comment from the Comments Section at YouTube:
"I have seen the movie already and it is so much fun. I'll definitely be seeing it again."
hrmmm.... one of those groups running the maze looks VERY familiar...
In that scene, Forge does announce there will a "...a wonderful gift for each and every one of you!".

I really like the movies, lots of FR references, D&D spells, etc and the Bradley Cooper as halfling cameo was such a surprise!
