**TLDR: My PC is leaving the party and I need a replacement PC. Leaning toward a fey themed Circle of the Stars Druid.**
So I'll keep this a brief as I can while still making sense. For the past year I've been playing a human Genie Warlock (named Percy), going through a Dragonheist and blending into a homebrew campaign. Near the end of the campaign he told off his Genie patron and made a pact with Titania becoming an Archfey Warlock. Now the party is facing down a dragon uprising. We have reason to believe there might be a weapon/key (McGuffin) in the Feywild that could aid us in taking down the dragons. But we have other more important stuff going on and can't all afford to leave on a hope that we \*maybe\* find a weapon that could help. I've been toying with playing a different character, so given Percy's ties to the Feywild I offered to pursue it while the party remains here. Now I need a new character.
I would really like to play a Circle of the Stars Druid. I LOVE druids and Stars is such a versatile subclass. But I would really like the new character to have a **thing** that makes them interesting. A secret, a hidden objective, something haunting them from their past. My first thought was that Percy, not wanting to leave his friends one man down, beseeches Titania asking that she send aid while he is away. In response she assigns one of her guard, court members, etc to join the party while Percy is in the Fey. I'm thinking of going Elf, but leaning Fairy just because I'm such a sucker for flight. Which would be best, or should I go with something else entirely?
Mechanics aside, what would be a good backstory for the character? How did he come to work under Titania? Is he true believer, or only serving her begrudgingly? What led him to follow the stars? Is he an air headed goof always with his head in the clouds (or in the sky)? Maybe he could be a fortune teller like character. It could be funny if he was a really bad one. Or maybe does Titania maybe have a secret agenda in assigning him to the party? (I would ultimately leave that up to my DM, but what sort of ideas could I give him?) I suspect that the reactions of my fellow PCs are likely to range from begrudging acceptance of this character, to outright rejection. At least until he wins them over.
I know this is a lot of spaghetti I'm throwing at the wall. Feel free to make any and all recommendations, changes, etc. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

If you want fey themed features, then you might prefer Circle of the Shepherd or Circle of Dreams. As for backstory, I have no idea (I’m terrible at character backstories).
