Bcoh1478 my second group is also in Strahd's Castle! We play this thursday. So close to being done with this campaign. We have been playing it since August.
Friday night we have group 2 picking up after they were nearly killed in GoldenFields (Storms King Thunder). These players still believe that everything is beatable and this time it almost cost them. They are a very different dynamic and prefer to just attack everything.
Saturday is Group 1 and also playing Storm Kings Thunder. On their way to Everlund after killing the Wevil (by accident… He rolled a one on a death saving throw). They are all level 6 right now and should hit level 7 before the end of the night. I’m hoping to have them start heading to the Oracle for next session.
I was trying to keep these groups on parallel paths and have both groups all meet for the final battle. It’s going to be tough because one group is very different from the other. Group 1 likes to bash everything and group 2 likes to investigate and sometimes talk their way out of battle or simply hide from the encroaching giants. So far it has been interesting.
Sunday I’m DMing a Roll20 adventure with another group of friends which will start a new course. After escaping from the smugglers lair they have a ship and a map to a hidden island (I’ve revived X2 “The Isle of Dread”) and hopefully will have the beginning imported and ready to go.
Yeah so it’s going to be a busy weekend with roughly over 24 hours of D&D. Good Times!!
