I am beginning to acquire and rely on digital (vs physical) source books and am finding some features quite useful. The Hyperlinks to stat blocks or magical items are nice. The maps having a player and dm version is handy.
But there are some things I wish I could do, like highlight text or bookmark pages (although the chapter Hyperlinks do make it easy).
Can anyone share any tricks or secrets or short cuts for using the digital sourcebooks that might not be Immediately evident?
I use my browser's bookmarks a lot to help reduce navigation time. Instead of going through the Adventures/Sources page, I just bookmark the table of contents of certain books, and I can access each book quicker by just typing their initials into the search bar. Same thing for searches, and you can save specific searches via bookmarks. For example, instead of going through monster search, click on Undead category, and set Int score to 7 or lower and a separate search between 8 and 11, I just bookmark those searches and I can revisit them immediately at a later time.
My phone and laptop are my GM screens. Going digital significantly reduces clutter on the table since my laptop/phone can do so much more than a physical GM screen. It can take the place of monster/spell cards, adventure book, dice, notes, character sheets, keeping track of combat, and so much more. Basically, the more my group can do stuff digitally, the more space we have on the table for the really fun stuff like minis and mats and rolling dice.
If you like using VTTs, there are a few third party browser extensions that can connect Beyond to certain VTTs.
I kinda don't want to say (in-case it gets taken away), but all the images I've found in the Sourcebooks I own pop out and can be R-clicked for "Copy Image" and that makes handout creation much more streamlined.
@OP - if you list other tools you're using, you might get some more specific tips/tricks. VTT? Image Creation? Video? Audio?

Importing into VTT is an absolute god-send.
