Starting to create my character, looking for Artificer, but it’s not there. So how do I get it? I read somewhere that I have to buy and download the Tasha’s book? However, before I even knew of the D&D Beyond app, I actually went to a game store and bought the Players, Tasha’s, and the goldfish one, don’t remember the name, Xander-something. Each book was $50. So I would appreciate not having to buy it a second time, even if it’s digital. Now if there was a simple way to say spend five bucks to just get that class, then I can live with that. How do I go about doing this? Thanks.
Go to Tasha's Cauldron of Everything on Marketplace (https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace/sourcebooks/tashas-cauldron-of-everything) and scroll down. You get to the section with individual purchase options keep going until you get to subclasses. In order to unlock the class, you have to buy at least one of the subclasses (Alchemist, Armorer, Artillerist or Battlesmith, which are conveniently one after the other, after the Sorceror subclass Aberrant Mind), which are $1.99 each. If you're thinking of getting all four, that's $7.96, while it's only $9.99 for all the subclasses in TCoE, so I'd strongly consider getting all of them.
When you've bought at least one Artificer subclass, the class will become available to you.
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
As a note, I would *highly* recommend thinking carefully before having a PC play an Artificer. By my experience they work better as a sidekick or an NPC. As a PC, they are 1/2 as useful in combat as any other PC, and even out of combat utility is matched by Rogues, Bards, and Wizards. Whatever works for you, obviously, but I feel it’s important to say.

You can do the last option.

Thank you!
