I heard Psionic Goblins and immediately went to the theory that the original adventure was Droop putting the adventurers in a hallucination to see if he could trust them or not.
Edit: FYI, on this point I am going to be completely immune to common sense, logic and reason.
On the one hand, I like cosmic horror and would like to see what the devs have in store for it post-1DD. On the other hand, I'm sick and tired of tentacles and mind flayers.
