I currently have a party with four members, one rouge, one fighter, one wizard and one Barbarian-Monk-Sorcerer. The problem I have with the Barbarian-Monk-Sorcerer is that has an AC in the 30's, amazing stats and the barbarian's ability to nearly resist anything except psychic damage.
At this point in the campaign, the party members are too powerful to face mind flayers. The world has lots of undead and lots of magic in it and has most creatures in the monster manual has, and the party is about level 9.
Any suggestions are welcome and I thank anyone who responds.
How on earth is the Barb/Monk/Sorc have an AC of 30+? The unarmored defense from the monk and barbarian don't stack, and neither does the sorcerer ac buff if he is a dragon sorcerer...his ac is either 13+dexterity modifier OR 10+(Wisdom OR Constitution)+dexterity modifier. Either way, his Ac should be bounded around 20 or so. Here's a link with the rules explanation from the wizard's website:

As the other posters have said, there seems to be some misunderstanding of the way the rules work. Could you post this Übermensch of a character so that we could correct it?
Even the multi-classing seems a bit suspect since he'd have to have minimums of 13 in Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom and Charisma.
I'd also suggest looking at restricting players to using the point-buy system. Rolled stats always cause problems and it sounds like he's rolled exceptional stats.
Lastly, you could kill the barbarian with an Intellect Devourer while it's hiding and then have it take over the barbarian and attack the group. Just saying :)

Nothing is ever "too powerful" for PCs, you are the DM, adjust, Modify, Create. Just because its not in the book, doesn't mean you can't do it.

Pogra and Filcat, thanks for this, I did not realize that the different unarmored defenses did not stack with one another.
Dropbear8mybaby, I like your solution, this should also be fun because this character has an INT of 6 with an additional curse of a -2 to all ability saves. This guy rolled 4 AMAZING stats, one bad to normal character standers and one exceptional crappy stat (6).
TheEvilDM, I like how you think and I like your Chaotica.
NightsLastHero, you can reach 21 AC if you go defensive fighting style in fighter or paladin and have full-plate and a shield.
You can also get to AC 24 with a level 20 barbarian if you max DEX and CON, since they can have a 24 in CON. With a shield, it's 10+5+7+2. But you're realistically not going to get to that.

Sorry missed the level 20 part.
I assume in the op the player is not level 20 so that feature of the Barbarian doesn't apply. I would also say that having reached level 20 it doesn't really matter if the AC goes up by 4 as the PCs are pretty powerful by then anyway.
As for the op the question is how his player got to a 30 ac long before level 20.

It sounds like you need to have a peek at that character sheet.
Also ability scores can not go higher than 20 without the aid of magic.
I believe there is no means for a PCs AC to go over 20 outside of magic, so I am also rather curious how he managed to get it to 30.

If I were DM, I'd throw them at the Tarrasque.
This is probably why I don't DM.
A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
Another idea for characters with a high AC is making a foe that uses non AC themed attacks/or things that make them use saves instead of AC.
