And it isn't handled through the marketplace? Wow.
The "Claim an Adventure" stuff never is.
Yes, but several "free" things were released this year that had to be purchased in the marketplace rather than using that "claim" system they used to use. It seemed like that was the way free things were going to be released from now on, and everyone hated it because the marketplace is clunky and makes you enter payment information even for "free" products. Hopefully, this one being released with the "claim" method again means that they've learned their lesson about that and are going back to the old system.
Wasn't that just the Sigil stuff, because they only had a microtransaction infrastructure?
IIRC Hold Back the Dead and a couple other things were also Marketplace. I know I had to claim some stuff via Marketplace and I just let the Sigil stuff go by so it wouldn't have been that.
Yeah, I have the same problems as you SochiG_2005Lena, I have my account on a school Chromebook and the only way I can claim stuff is if it looks like the one Densefl posted
I wish they would offer the Spelljammer Academy adventure since it’s not included in the books and leads into the actual Spelljammer adventure.
Keep an eye out over Christmas, they usually do some form of Advent Calendar of give aways and old free adventures that are no longer available sometimes pop up in that
No, definitely not just you. I've played it but not run it so thought maybe it was just my DM not making the link obviousbut it was definitely disjointed
Yeah, I think people expected that connection because the levels aligned. But its pretty obvious that the authors of the free adventures didnt know LoX when they wrote those and their assignment was simply to create an introductory adventure to the spelljammer setting. It does that rather well, especially the first one is a pretty solid starter adventure. But LoX with its pulp fiction, Flash Gordon vibe works much better if the characters dont know a thing about spelljamming, so having been to an academy seems off a bit. Personally I like to start with Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, where the comet already has characters looking up, and then running the little bridge adventure Stars over Stormwreck by Mike Shea to lead into LoX. But I have seen DMs make the Academy work with LoX.

Also, realized there was another encounter called Goblin Patrol that's claimable.
This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.

Get rickrolled here. Awesome music here. Track 51, 10/23/25, Viva La Vida
Given that Scions of Elemental Evil was also claimed (https://www.dndbeyond.com/claim/source/scions-of-elemental-evil?icid_source=house-ads&icid_medium=scions-of-elemental-evil&icid_campaign=redemption), I think Hold Back the Dead was the only one ever in the marketplace.
Double-checked my entitlements and looks like you're right.
Hold Back the Dead was the only Marketplace adventure. Though there were 3 dice sets that were free from the Marketplace too as opposed to claimed.

If its any consolation, Spelljammer Academy doesnt really lead into the Light of Xaryxis adventure, or at least not very well.
Okay, so it's not just me. I found that really odd, I was expecting there to be a lot more of a connection there.
