At no point has it ever been stated that drow are immune to drow poison. Nor do drow have any abilities that give them immunity to toxins. Therefore, drow are as vulnerable to drow poison as anyone else.

Drow love stabbing each other in the back. They probably came up with the poison to use on other drow, and then eventually used it on other people just because they had it around.

Hahahaha this is the my favorite answer so far.
Magic can't put Drow to sleep because of their Fey Ancestry but they're affected by the nonmagical poison from their Handcrossbow Attack.
