You get the subclasses and feats in the PHB, yes. If you’re looking for one from a different book, you need to either buy that book or buy the specific subclass.
It's worth noting that a new version of the PHB is being released this year, potentially as early as May. You'll still be able to use the old one...but I wouldn't want anyone to buy the 5e PHB only to be upset be abuse a new one is about to come out. Look into the new version and see if you might prefer it...or happy to buy both or whatever. Just be sure of what you want to do.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Also worth noting is that if you want these things to be available to put on your character, you need to buy the full Player's Handbook book and not the compendium, which only provides you with a digital version of the book for reading purposes. I have seen many people think they were saving some dollars by buy the compendium for $10 less and then squeal when they have nothing show up on their character sheet.
Hi Guys
If I purchase the Players Handbook in D&D Beyond, do I get subclasses and feats in my digital character sheet?
