I am suffering from being a collector and completionist... it is the kind of hell you might imagine. As part of the curse I have to ask: is there any chance for Dungeons & Dragons vs. Rick and Morty to ever become available again on D&D Beyond? I know the chances are slim, but maybe if there is enough interest or whatsoever, could there be a chance for it to bring it back?
I think the chances are extremely slim. In order to sell content where you are using a third-party’s intellectual property, you need a license to sell that content. No license, no sale as any sale would be a violation of the other entity’s legal rights.
The Rick and Morty content requires a license from Adult Swim and that license expired sometime around October 2022. For the content to be sold again, Wizards and Adult Swim would need to enter into a new licensing agreement. That takes time and effort - legal has to get involved to draft and review a deal, they would have to work out how to split the proceeds, there would be a marketing component to see how to promote the rerelease, etc. That is a lot of effort to put into a product which will be five years old come March—and I seriously doubt either company really has the bandwidth to put in that effort for this product.

Adding to this, there's also... shall we say, more controversial reasons why D&D might want to avoid tying their brand to Rick & Morty again. Since the original collaboration, one of the creators has been ousted for pretty unsavory things, so I don't see WotC being in a rush to renew the partnership.

Thank you two for your replies. I was afraid that might be the case, but nonetheless the unrest remains not being able to acquire that item via D&D Beyond while other items are still available. It also induce some fear about certain items which goes like "if I do not buy it right away I might never be able to again".
First Party content should be semi-permanently available - while some are withdrawn, at least in the past there has been at least some warning (in the case of VGtM and MToF. Third party content is inherently unpredictable, unfortunately.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

That's called "fomo" - and from a business' standpoint it's actually a good thing because it causes you to accelerate a purchase you might otherwise overlook or decide against.
I own everything but rhakkma, VGtM, MToF and Rick and morty vs dungeons and dragons and I know the anxiety of not having it all or buying everything as soon as you can because if you don’t then you may never have it lol it’s not a great feeling
Old thread but since it resurfaced, there is a way to get access to content that is no longer sold, simply join the campaign of someone who previously bought it and have them enable content sharing.

Hi everyone,
I am suffering from being a collector and completionist... it is the kind of hell you might imagine. Cheers & Happy Adventuring!
