As strange as the title sounds, it makes sense. I have a barbarian, for instance, that has a magic item with a spell attached. It's an axe with Inflict Wounds attached to it, but with Strength as its spellcasting ability. Is there a way to make it show up as such? Or at least allow you to adjust/set on magic items (such as with the existing Instruments of the Bards) what spellcasting ability it uses? This could affect magic items wielded by nonmagical characters, as well as for the Thief Rogue that can use magic items regardless of class requirements. So a Thief could use Doss Lute, which uses your spellcasting ability and save DC, and say what stat to use for those?
