anyone else feel like they did alot of talking but didnt say much? there was a portion in the video were he said "we could spend hours talking about the spells" and tbh thats exactly what i wanted. Also is the other guy ok? he said boo to something i hope they feed him tonight (joking)
how do you feel like the change to cloud of daggers being able to be moved?
Highly in favor. Crawford wishing he could move it while playing BG3 is exactly how I felt 😁 The big difference between us is he has the power to change it!
(For me it was outside Auntie Ethel's hut when she called in her redcap minions; I originally slapped it down at the entrance to her swamp ranch to slice them up as they charged through the gate, while I moved my party inside her shack to break line of sight - once they were past it, I cast a second one blocking the front door to shred them a second time. It was definitely fun, but being able to move it would have saved my bard a valuable slot.

Comparing to moonbeam, it's a smaller area (5' cube instead of 5' x 60' cylinder), lower base damage, but because it's no save, averages slightly higher. Seems fair.
Now, comparing it to BG3 is unfortunate because both spells are bugged in BG3 (they cause damage immediately when placed, not just at start of turn).
So far... no idea, honestly this is one I will need to see before I can give good feedback, I'm hopeful they fixed some worthless spells, and I'm cautious that they changed some good spells to be worse. But until I read what they have I can not actually give feedback.

It makes the spells dramatically more potent than they're supposed to be (I think BG3 is also a larger area than it is in RAW).

Cloud of Daggers is a spell I've never taken in play, but it's actually useful in BG3, mostly because of the larger area. I don't know if it's bugged, or if they meant it to work that way. I don't think their implementation is a correct interpretation of "enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn", but it's not completely indefensible. (But they may have known that, and decided to make the spell not suck.)
One more thing I caught was a bit more good news for Warlock players - Prayer of Healing now gives the benefits of a short rest (once per long rest only) and only takes 10 minutes to pull off. So in games that don't use the optional shortened short rest rule, getting at least one short rest in a day just became a lot easier.

Do we know whether a summary article is planned to be published?
No idea, but I summarized some key points from the video before I saw this thread. Feel free to discuss here or there.
