So in my campaign, I have a player whose character is currently a Wizard who wields a staff as their Arcane Focus.
However, they have been thinking about multiclassing into a Druid. When I asked them about getting their Druidic Focus, they said the staff they use as their Arcane Focus should work as its made of wood, hence is a "Wooden Staff" which is a Druidic Focus..
So my question is: Does this work? Would their Arcane Focus staff count as a Druidic Focus just cos' its made of wood?
It is possible for an arcane focus staff to also be a druidic focus staff as long as it meets the requirements of being a druidic staff, being made of wood as you said. I believe Mike Mearls answered this question as well at one point in time. I know for a fact he answered that they can both double as quarterstaves. It's ultimately up to you as a DM, or your DM if you are a player.
