So we need people who have access to the book to look through the spell descriptions to see what's changed.
How this is going to work:
If you want to help, post a reply saying what chunk of the list you're going to look over. Something like "I'll do the letter C", or "Start of A through Arcane Gate"
You're not committing to getting it done ASAP, but if you decide you're done, say so
Only post mechanical changes. Changes in wording that don't affect anything aren't needed.
We don't need full spell texts. Things like "Chill Touch: Now a touch spell" or "Conjure Animals: completely different" suffice.
It's probably easiest to grab a whole letter, but it is a good chunk of work
I'll try to keep the next posts updated so people can see what's already been/is being taken care of.
It's probably worth double-checking chunks of the list for things that were missed
The playtest documents are not a reliable source of changes
There are plenty of other threads to complain about how WotC are handling this. This does not need to be one of them.
This is probably going to be pretty quiet until the Master subscribers get their hands on the book (that's certainly the case for me), but people with copies from GenCon, or who want to check stuff from the announcement videos and posts can certainly contribute.
*** If this thread turns into another complaint thread, I'm going to stop updating it ***
There are content creators out there that had early access and their cone of silence faded on the 1st. I'd search there first and foremost, because the work has been done (though I'm not sure how complete it is).

If you can link me to text posts of it, sure.
If "content creators" means "people on YouTube" like I suspect it does, I'm gonna need somebody to transcribe from that source.
Edit: somebody else sent me a link, which I've added to the initial post
This may be premature, but I'm not expecting them to release a list of changes, even when the PHB goes into full release.
Edit: I was sent a link to somebody else's 2024 changelog, which probably obviates the need for this thread:
