I really hoped wotc would clean up it's wonky writing but it would seem not the case.
From pally auras:
"If another Paladin is present, a creature can benefit from only one Aura of Protection at a time; the creature chooses which aura while in them."
OK, but, when do they choose and how long does that last? I see this as being abused like the drop / draw items of OG 5e where realistically it made zero sense. Does this only apply to the aura of protection, what about higher level subclass auras?
I think Xalthu has the right of it but to be honest, why would you be bouncing between my +2 to saves and Sally's +3 to saves?
As to the higher sub-class auras, I think it depends on the wording.
Aura of Devotion (Devotion): "While in your Aura of Protection..." I would say if you chose the other paladin's aura then you are NOT in mine. So no Aura of Devotion for you. Oath of Ancient's Aura of Warding reads the same way, and I would interpret it the same.
Aura of Alacrity (Glory): "The first time ally enters your aura on a turn or starts their turn in it ..." This one triggers a benefit that doesn't require you to remain in that aura to benefit. - If you hit Sally's Aura first, the benefit triggers and you keep it until the end of your next turn - If you're in another paladin's aura and choose to stay under that Aura, you never enter Sally's Alacrity and never get the speed buff - If you've chosen my aura and I move away, you are now in Sally's AoP only (her AoP protects you) but the Alacrity bonus doesn't trigger until you start your turn in her AoP
Vengeance says, "Bite me! Be happy I gave you the saves bonus in the first place!!"
There's some nuance here, and I'm sure some more room for interpretation. Especially that last Glory sentence, but my brain hurts now. I don't think you are the blipbleep, but I do think there may be some overthinking. I don't think there's any real benefit from jumping into and out of my aura like a gin and tonic. Or more correctly, like a slice of lemon into my gin and tonic.

AITA and over thinking this?
Paladin aura is always going. Which is a bump in saving throws. Not sure how this can be abused.
I’d say they choose when the second aura starts to apply, and that choice lasts as long as they are in both auras.
