I am just curious if I am missing something or there are no magic items accessible by characters that are exclusively built in the 2024 rules.
I can definitely see them with Legacy options turned on and from the expanded rule sets but not when everything is using exclusively the new rule set.
I'm just wondering if there is a way to get magic items to show up for 2024 characters (other than enabling third party , expanded or Legacy options ) or if it's intended and required to use the older rule sets due to the staggered release of the core rule books.
Yes, I am aware of where they have existed and when and how/when they're likely to be updated.
I was curious if they had implemented something or discussed how it was going to work during this transition period - when they have not released the full necessary rules for 2024 but are changing this platform over to it - OTHER than just activating legacy sets (which, for example might create a lot of noise / confusion for someone new to the platform or DND in general).

Magic items are, and have always been, in the DMG. So we’ll see them for 2024 in a couple months when that is released.

You'll just have to wait. The just like with the PHB, the closer they get to the release date of the DMG, they will offer more information.
Monks should be happy since the Playtests said they would be creating new magic items specifically for Monks.
