In the new 2024 Player's Handbook, the wording on the Suggestion and Mass Suggestion spells have been modified and now they seem to fall into the category of spells that the instrument of the bards can impose disadvantage on. Here is the relevant phrase from the Instrument:You can play the instrument while casting a spell that causes any of its targets to be charmed on a failed saving throw, thereby imposing disadvantage on the save. This effect applies only if the spell has a somatic or a material component.
Now, the Suggestion spell used to never mention the Charmed condition, so it wasn't applicable. But in the newest iteration, here is the relevant description of the spell: the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have the Charmed condition for the duration or until you or your allies deal damage to the target. The Charmed target pursues the suggestion to the best of its ability. The spell does have the required Verbal and Material Component and the target is charmed.
Do these two spells now get added to the list of spells that the Instruments of the Bards influence?
