Because I am playing a lot of one shots with people that haven't played a lot of (or any) D&D, I am creating PreGen's for all (Sub-)Classes; and to make it more visual pleasing (and keep with the Pathfinder design of 'Iconic' Characters) I am modeling these after the images provided in the PHB.
My biggest problem? For some of these, I am really not sure which species they belong to. I would love your species suggestions to the choices I made. (And yes, I decided to stay PHB 2024 only, since for me it is a new Edition and I don't want to confuse players with older books.)

My thoughts so far:
Since it isn't clearly stated if female dwarves grow beards, I kinda guestimated by body type (stockier) because either none of the images show female dwarves or they are don't look that much different than 'normal' human woman.
It also feels like a lot of elves have dark skin (Drows) and most of the Tieflings seem to be blue skinned aka. Chthonic?
And what is going on with the single Sea-Elf they used, how am I supposed to put that one in one of the high/wood/drow categories?
The Species that really got ignored are Goliath and Aasimar. I would have liked a bit more variety in the representation of different classes overall.
I appreciate all your feedback in solving this, so I can start torturing me by creating 60 different characters. Oh and sorry for the weird way the forum makes the table look.
The Valor Bard is, I think, a Copper Dragonborn rather than Red. The color scheme is the same as the preview images they've released of the copper dragons from the new Monster Manual.
I think the Circle of the Land Druid is actually a Gnome, based on their general body structure as shown in the Species Descriptions section.
The Wizard is depicted again in the Spellcasting section and is described as an Aasimar wizard there.
Dwarves are described in the Species section as “squat and often bearded”. The illustration of a Dwarf community includes several beardless Dwarves.
Skin colour is omitted from the description of most of the species, so trying to differentiate subspecies by colouring is not necessarily valid now. Plus, a few of the illustrations have uncanny lighting effects that might influence the perceived colouring.
Further thoughts:
I think the Beastmaster is also an Aasimar: they lack the typical Orc tusks and green skin is noted as a potential Aasimar feature.
I wonder if the Sea Druid might in fact be a Goliath, going by the muscular development and the markings. They don’t seem to have the typical Elf ears.
(I don’t know what the relevance of “carrot-top” is in a list of species.)
