Code worked for me! Added digital handbook it my account (Though my Boyfriend already got me the hardcover for crimmas). I wish the items I had hard copies of could be unlocked for use online.
Thank you for sharing the code! I bought 3 books today with it. I realize that there is a cost for doing business and having access to these books online is a major perk to helping my game move along at a better pace but since I had already had access to the books in hard copy, I really had a hard time justifying the additional cost. I do feel good about the price I paid today for additional ease of access to the content. So, thanks again.

Yeah your not alone in those thoughts. Factor in using a VTT as well and you have to buy the content again on that platform if you want the convenience of having it. Now, of course, you don't NEED to buy them but it makes things a whole lot easier. Over the last few years and after a lot of reservation towards owning physical and spending that much on digital content, I went in on Fantasy Grounds and slowly have been adding to my collection, I have the PHb, MM, Volo's guide and a couple of adventures, I was going to buy Xanathars Guide as once I reached level 3 I was going to use some options out of there but it wasn't on sale so I figured I would wait. I didn't jump in on beyond as I didn't want to spend even more money at the time on yet another digital item. I have no problem paying for digital but when it's the price of the book in print that's when I have issues.
My group started up another game (local) as a player and having a laptop at the table is just not convenient at all, mine takes up to much room. So yesterday afternoon, prior to our game, I remembered about this, I found the Pax code so I picked up the PHB which made it a little easier and I have to say I really like how easy it is to make your character on this, I had 2 devices going with Beyond up and we also had 2 PHB physical copies going around the table for looking up information.
Now I just have to convince the group to sign up for the free account and my GM to create a campaign and chip in a couple of $$$ towards the sub so I can share what I have and they can add their characters. We have 3 newish players, at least new to 5E, and GM who is a great storyteller but is quite new to 5E ruleset himself so updating characters takes a bit, I can only do so much.
After I got home I inputted my character correctly into the system and wow I love the character sheet and updating information on the fly will be easy. Now if only they had a mobile app for viewing characters offline. Another thing I also like is I don't have to buy the whole book, for example, I also picked up Goblin race from Volo's as I didn't want to spend that much since I just bought PHB (and the code was one use only) and all I really needed was the goblin. Also they don't screw you when you decide to buy individual items, the race bundle was 9.99 and individual races were 1.99, since I bought only the goblin, the race bundle is now discounted down to 8.00 and the full book was down to 28.00, so I can go ahead and buy individual items from various products for when I need them and then if I decide to buy the whole book then it will be discounted buy whatever I already spent. I was a little reserved about buying just the goblin, especially if I still had to pay full price for product later and was glad when they answered that question on their support section so I decided to just get the goblin.
seems code is only a single use code as well. I bought PHB prior to game tonight and then got home and was going to buy a couple other sections of various books as don't have the money to buy full content just yet and only buying what I need and it said code was already used.
Yeah, unfortunately I think all codes are single use for each account. Its worth noting that anyone in a campaign can share a book. For for example, if I'd accidentally used my code and then wanted more books a little bit later (well, first I might just contact customer support and see if there's anything they could do for me), I could have my wife buy books on her account with the code. We always play in the same campaigns anyway, so that way I'd essentially still always have access. Could work similarly in a close-knit friend group.
(Honestly, it doesn't really make sense to me that a code that can be used on multiple books should only work once, since it expires anyway. I mean, I get it; it "makes sense" on a base level -- it's kind of what I expect; coupons can only be used once. But in reality, it only serves to frustrate people once they realize they could have bought more books and saved more money, making them inclined to wait until the next code before buying again. I mean, if I were brand new and weren't certain about D&D Beyond, I'd definitely only buy one book at first, rather than shelling out ~$100 for 3-4 books for a platform I'm not sure about. But then after experiencing the book on the platform, if I say "yeah, this is for me" I don't get the same deal I'd get if I essentially took a gamble. And so having it be single-use basically forces new users into deliberating over what level of risk they're willing to take, which I feel on some level isn't great marketing. Then again, I don't love coupons like this anyway: some new customer buys a book; then logs on to the forums only to find they could have used a coupon that was targeted at a certain audience that didn't include them -- feelsbadman. Not that I expect anything to change; I assume sales are doing well enough, with and without the coupons, that Curse isn't worried about it. And anyway, I do very much appreciate that Curse is making coupons periodically available to those who do a little searching and are willing to wait a bit sometimes.)
I had two reasons why I only picked up the phb, one was exactly what you pointed out, do I want to Shell out money for something I haven't really used and unsure if and two, I don't have a lot of extra I can spend. I might of bought the phb, a race and classes pack from a couple different sources to see if the code would also work for those and get the additional discount.
I will never buy a full book at it's full price, that makes them more then what I paid for my physical versions so I would only add to my collection if I can use coupon or buy single items here and there.
There is None ......... PAXSOUTH19 (25%) will give you a one shot at all the books but no continued 15% on new books bu new 25% codes show up every month or so.

I'm not sure why there would ever be a discount code for the Legendary Bundle. The whole point of it is that you can buy all of the content at once wit ha 15% discount and maintain that discount over any future purchase. I can't imagine a reason why Curse would ever make a code that sweetens that deal even further.

I was thinking that you could use the 25% code to buy all but the cheapest book in the bundle - then since the bundle discounts according to the content you already own you could then buy the bundle to get the final book and the permanent 15%.
I decided I don't need all the adventures so I chose not to try it.
It also discounts the Bundle a the price you paid for the books. So if you got all the books at...say 50% for some reason, it would only dock 50% of the books value from the cost of the Bundle.

There actually have been coupon codes for the Legendary Bundle in the past, but as far as I know, they've all expired by now. I wouldn't be surprised if another one shows up some time later this year.

There has been in the past I just missed it though. Hope they drop one tonight
unrealistic, 25% is something they allot for and is part of the markup. The profit keep their stellar team employed. Keep he wheels greased and running tight. I love a good discount.
assuming you have no books yet you don't loose much if you buy now and the legendary bundle later.
From what I've heard people will use the 25% off and buy almost everything and get a better discount then the standard 15% and then if a legendary code does come along use it to buy what's left. I wish I had that kind of money to just go all in like that but I do like that the prices go down as you buy content but of course that's sort of offset by them adding more books down the road and if your not buying those one-offs faster then them releasing then it's a losing battle lol.
Currently, I'm just a player using this but I could see me DMing at some point and I'm curious how the adventures work on here. I mentioned it at the end of the session and everyone was oh that looks great, we should totally do this but then they don't sign up...That session we levelled mid-session, took well over 30-40minutes to update characters as 3 of the players are brand new to 5E and out of all of us, I probably know the most so I helped them then while we played I updated mine oh and my GM gave us way to much experience for 1 encounter that leveled us straight to level 3 so it wasn't just one level we had to do it was 2. I know if all of us had our characters on here it would take minutes to update. IF I do end up GMing it will be a requirement that they add their characters to the campaign I create.
All I know is I'm not using paper character sheet next session and only going with this, I made up my alt during the week on one of my lunch breaks (only 15 minutes) and that wasn't even all I did the whole time. Super impressed with character creation.

If its to be believed, it will be good until Jan 31 2019 - but act now, great little company and great product.
