They were already in Fizban’s. Unless they take another pass at that, which I think is doubtful, I’d be surprised. Maybe they pop one in here or there in an adventure, but I doubt we’ll just get pages and pages of them. Of course, that really just baseless speculation on my part, and everyone else’s baseless speculation will be just as valid.

That was for 5e this mm is for 5.5?
So? It's the same core system, and all the statblocks released since 2014 are still compatible with the game.
They did say something about a Book of Dragons coming in the future when they talked about the 5.5 roadmap. So maybe they'll redo the Gem Dragons for that release.

There is no actual 5e/5.5e distinction, 5.5 is just a community moniker for the 2024 core rulebooks. Rulebooks that are still 5th edition and still compatible with all 5th edition books including Fizban's Treasuring of Dragons.
I don't know about Fizban's, but from 2nd edition:
"The gem dragons [...] are neutral with respect to good and evil, and are very charismatic and suave, masters of persuasion who delight in riddles. Though generally smaller and slower than other dragons, gem dragons are often wiser and more intelligent, and have other powers to compensate, like psionics." https://omegle****/

So mm won't have Gems but anyone hope we see them in a later book?

They were not in the original MM so will probably be available in a later book with updates.

Use Fizbans and be happy with that. You can use 5e monsters in the 2024 update.
You'll probably see more releases in the way of D&D Digital Play Experience, but I think they (wotc) will focus on metallic and chromatic dragons.
I hope so
