On the back of the monsters of the multiverse book, does anyone know if the dragon above the astral dreadnoughts tail is sardior. I think so because it's almost a shiny gem like skin because he is described as the "ruby dragon"
The cover art for Monsters of the Multiverse is one of my favorites, and Sardior is one of my favorite characters, so I was delighted to see your message. I understand what you are saying and I like the way you think, although it may be more likely that the dragon is one of the githyanki’s red dragon mounts. It does indeed look quite shiny, though perhaps that is due to the light source of the painting, particularly when juxtaposed with the astral dreadnought below.
Additionally, the githyanki feature in Monsters of the Multiverse and Mordenkainen appears to be an authority on the gith in general, learning much from time spent with both the githzerai and girhyanki (I have even postulated that Modenkainen’s unique staff could have been constructed psionically in the same manner as the githyanki’s silver greatswords). However, I do not believe Sardior is mentioned in that book, though I could be mistaken.
In any case, I do hope to see Sardior in an official release sometime soon.

I think the official position is that Sardior is shattered in 5e canon, non-novel-based lore.
So I don't think we're getting Aspect of Sardior stat blocks like we did Bahamut & Tiamat.
& this is coming from a fan of gem dragons.

It really does look like Sardior. Probably isn't, though.
