Hi, not sure if this has been answered but, I'm a big fan of the physical books. Especially the alt art covers. It feels like a kick in the junk at this point to also have to buy the digital version. Is there a discount code at the very least for these purchases?

There's a discount if you purchase the physical and digital versions at the same time through the D&D Beyond marketplace, but that's it.
No, the alt covers are only available at physical stores.
What Wagnarokkr stated is correct, these are only available at Local Game Shops.
Some context: D&D wanted to help Local Game Shops out, so they made the Limited Edition Alternate Covers only available there. That made more people go to their Local Game Shop to get them and brought the store more foot traffic, and exposure.
Now with the 2024 books, they announced that if you want the Alt Cover, you can get it 2 weeks early at your Local Game Shop, trying to entice buyers even more.
I know it is annoying to not get a discount on the Digital Version because we want the Alt Cover, but that is just how it is.
Cheers!

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
Yeah I've been buying the books for over 20 years, and the alt covers for the last 15. Just would be nice to get a discount code printed in the book, or even at the LGS for the digital. 2 weeks early I couldn't care much about, but having a discount for a digital copy as well, that would be great.
