Hey folks! I didn't see a thread dedicated to Fantasy Grounds, so here it is. Here are a few topic areas I am going to cover this week. Feel free to elaborate on one or a few of them. Or, start a conversation on one that hasn't been covered yet. Try to keep it Fantasy Grounds related however.
Off line character creation - Add a character sheet that will enable the building or manipulation of characters that can later be imported into Fantasy Grounds.
Off line character / foe testing - One your character has been adjusted offline, create a combat tracker function where you can practice / test your characters against various foes / environments.
Enable off line access of D&D material you bought on Fantasy Grounds. Right now, many of us buy books and then have to buy the Fantasy Grounds modules / books. This would be great when the campaign function becomes available. We could cut and paste from the digital material and then import it right back into Fantasy Grounds. At the minimum, allow a "story" and "encounter" building function that will translate into the format that is compatible with FG.
It will be really great if they can have "to and from" technology integration with D&D Beyond and Fantasy Grounds.
Agreed! DMs can use purchased digital material from FG as they build campaigns in D&DB. Then they can either cut and paste or use a compatible story / encounter builder.
I hope they incorporate a lot of tools for the VTT crowd.

Fantasy Grounds Ultimate License holder, so anyone can play in my games! I've been playing RPGs for around 20 years now and have never looked back. I've played Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Dungeons & Dragons 2nd & 4th Edition, Cyberpunk 2020, Shadowrun 2nd & 5th Edition, Tales of the Floating Vagabond, Pendragon 4th Edition, Pathfinder, Warhammer FRPG 2nd Edition, Star Wars D6/d20/Saga/FFG, Robotech (Palladium), and various other homemade systems.
So I'm not a big contributor to the FG forums even though I have an ultimate licence. I use FG to manage my pen and paper campaign so I don't even use it as designed for VTT. Really like what's happening here at DDB and expect I will buy into both systems as I can see the benefit for my players. Speculation aside, is there any official word on how these two systems are going to interact if at all?
