I am not new to DnD but new to all the digital stuff. Pre-made maps are available from many sources or for free. But how do you find a premade map that fits the encounter/campaign you are running? Do you have to adjust the encounter to fit the map? Or adjust the map to fit the encounter? Can you even adjust premade maps? Making my own maps is too time consuming and I am not especially great at it.
Their are huge amounts of cheap third party maps out there. Do some Google searches for dnd maps with keywords for what you are searching for. Just make sure they have a grid already drawn into them. A lot of them are fairly cheap and I think I have seem some sold on Etsy. Maps has a great import tool
I use Dungeon Scrall and have had a fairly easy time making maps. Not a huge learning curve and you can make larger maps and the Maps tool makes importing them and adjusting the grid size easy. Not really for outdoor maps though. May or may not be useful for you.
not sure if it covers all your needs, but bag of mapping is the quickest and easiest as possible option. you can import characters from dndbeyond and it's designed to work with touch, from mobile on up. https://xender.vip/

TO DEFEND: THIS IS THE PACT.
BUT WHEN LIFE LOSES ITS VALUE,
AND IS TAKEN FOR NAUGHT-
THEN THE PACT IS, TO AVENGE.
