The jump spell says you can leap 30ft using only 10ft of movement, but is this jump limited like a normal jump or can you jump 30ft straight up if you want to?
You can jump up 30 foot, if you were faced by a 20 feet high cliff, you can jump up to the top of it using jump. notably it is up to 30 foot, rather than just 30 feet. So you could jump to the correct height that you can land just on the top of the cliff.
