Does anybody have any idea if or when this will come to DDB? I thought it was supposed to come out in July but evidently that never came to be. Is it even out yet somewhere else or is it still on kickstarter?
I think 2024 shook things up, & the OG authors & publishers(Including a VERY WotC-critical YouTuber) may not be willing to update the Tamer & everything else, including Part 1to 2024 rules.
Cuisine Bard, Hunt Domain Cleric, Skinshifter Sorcerer, Parasite Warlock & Trapper Ranger have been shaken up by 2024 changes, would require material be updated to 2024 from Part 1, and/or would have key features unsupported "at this time". I don't think those 4 are going to be implemented w/o hiring more programmers & Hasbro being willing to pay the development cost of 2024 updates of the OGs.
Also, a lot of the missing stuff deals heavily with mechanics that weren't implemented when Kobold Press had their books assimilated into Beyond:Creatures inheriting traits from another creature.
Mycellians & Ombrask would have the generic "We can't implement this at this time" mentioned with their features that solicit that notation. Leptidopterans would require some specialized coding to force the transformation, & people would demand the ability & right to delay and/or resist it.
Not to mention all of the "currently unsupported at this time"-type spells that didn't make the Part 1 cut, are on the Tamer list, would not work on Beyond in coding terms, be redundant, would suffer from needing to be updated to 2024 &/or would share the same name as other contenders for being added(Sebastian Crowe's Guide to Drakkenheim has an Acid Rain as well IIRC).
Lotol, Oozekin, & a few spells are the most salvageable things from a hypothetical part 2.
Ask them (potentially using an NPC like a crafter) what kind of stuff they would be interested in crafting then feed them bits about those instead of just throwing the book at them. If you don't want to overload them you can start by giving them a taste of stuff and then show them the list as well so they don't have to read all of it but will learn about the system as they go.
OP wasn't asking about that.
They were asking about when a hypothetical part 2 of the book would be released.

Yea 2024 rules aren't really applicable for me or any games I run since I just don't use them. I don't need the rules to be 2024 compatible. I was mainly asking about the part 2 sourcebook. I saw an ad for it on facebook back in April or May this year. I was really looking forward to it. Mostly for the parasite warlock.

While you don’t care about the rules being 2024 compatible, WoTC probably does. It’s likely not going to release on DnD Beyond until they’ve figured out how to update stuff to be 2024 compatible. You can still get the whole book, just not on DnD beyond at the moment.
Also I don’t know a lot about Helianna’s but isn’t the parasite warlock from Grim Hollow? Or do they just have the same subclass name?
I was replying to MaedraDawnkeeper, who had quoted a post made by an AI spam bot. That post has since been deleted, so I can see how it would be confusing.
It might be. I saw a sponsored post on Facebook back in Spring. It was from Loot Tavern. It showed Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting cover. And it had this warlock with this offbrand dnd version of Venom coming out of his chest.

I missed Parasite Warlock.
Yeah, that's real. It just has the same problems a lot of stuff from that book. It suffers from either being bound to 2014 due to Loot Tavern and/or the OG authors & illustrators' wishes, which matter more than Hasbro in this case....or it won't be supported at all.
I suspect Hasbro only lets WotC have so much money to give to Partners, & some partners are still rightfully nervous about their work being used to train AI, due to the contents of the OGLgate-spawning proposal that basically allowed for that verbatim.
Hence why a LOT of partners refuse to make 2024 versions, due to OGLgate, & their(valid) opposition to GenAI.

FYI, that's an AI spam bot.

Who is an AI spam bot? This post was very vague.
