The Tome of Beasts lists some of the creatures as the wrong type, most of them should be aberrations, the deep ones should be monstrosities, but the mi-go were labeled correctly as plants. Cthulhu by Torchlight gets most of them right but the mi-go are incorrectly labeled as aberrations instead of plants, I wouldn't consider the Great Race of Yith evil like in the book but rather have them be neutral, the flying polyps don't have resistance to physical damage and a weakness to electricity as they should and they don't form cults in the lore as far as I know, they kill anything that looks at them.
Lastly neither source listed the mi-go's shapeshifting ability, it would've been nice if they included the Shoggoth's preferred method of killing by decapitation and lastly the byakhee were left out completely.
Are you saying that the stuff on DDB does not match the published books you reference (ie Tome of Beasts, Cthulhu by Torchlight) or are you saying that based off of Lovecraftian Lore these book are not categorizing or adding well known Mythos to them?
Well unfortunately neither of those books were written by Wizards of the Coast or D&D Beyond, they are third party so this is not really the place to give that feedback. Going to the people who made those books would be better.
I'm saying it's not how I would prefer it. It's not the perfect adaptation I would've preferred. Homebrewing from scratch is a pain in the ass.
Then you're posting in the wrong place. This forum is for feedback on D&D Beyond, not the products DDB sells, especially third-party products. You're best off contacting the designers.
