Hey all, I am using the character creator to make a new character. I was having issues, and figure out that i wasnt seeing the phb2025 stuff, because i didnt own it.... that sucks (I actually own the physical copy, just not one on here). BUT I figured out my DM was using the 2014 phb, so it was nbd... But then I learned that my background (squire of solamnia) was in the Shadow of the Dragonqueen book.
I have no interest in buying the modules. I dont want to know anyhting in any of the settings, past the character generation information. Is there any sort of package I can buy, that includes that stuff, so I can make characters? I figure not, but thought I would ask. Thanks!
You’d need to either own the book on D&D Beyond, or have your character in a campaign where that book is shared with you (i.e. one where a Master Tier subscriber has enabled Content Sharing and someone in the group owns that book).
If you’ve already got the physical book and would prefer to spend time than money, you could also use the site’s homebrew tools to build those character options (for private use only; please don’t publish them to the global community).

Thank you, that is a bit of a bummer. I am surprised they havent got a sub tier where it has all the character options from adventures included. I appreciate your guidance!
The used to have an "al a carte" option for buying individual things from books/modules (like subclasses), but they've gone away with that in recent years.
I like your idea of having a sub tier with all character options, but that is probably unlikely in the current environment. As more options would be added through sourcebooks, the value of it would increase, meaning the price might have to increase to make it worth it to WotC versus incentivizing people to purchase modules/adventures/source books.
