I was looking at a friends character sheet and realized that on their Flamebreather Staff( a quarterstaff) and Moon Sickle descriptions had extra space for their Druid spell Flame Blade and for their Elven Lineage spell True Strike. Me and them talked about it and couldn't find anything on why these were part of the weapon. We thought it might be because it is a spellcasting focus for druids. I made a druid myself and a normal staff did the same thing but I can't seem to make this happen with any other class. So does anyone know why that's there? I hope I posted this in the right Discussion area
I get that one. My Warlock has Booming Blade damage showing under the weapon in the Actions tab and on the weapon itself if you look at the weapon details.
I think it's just there as a reminder because the actual spell damage is under the Spells tab.
Certain spells that effect or add to weapon damage seem to trigger this add.

oh okay but then I don't understand why for druids shillelagh isn't under the quarterstaff weapon details as well, I did make a test character sheet incase you want to look at it I did take shillelagh to check and its not there
Can you provide a link to this character? It's kind hard to know what you're describing without one
https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/152955193/4lwpWa this is just a test character for reference but on the weapons it shows Flame blade (druid), True Strike(Magic Initiate (Wizard)), and True Strike(Elven Lineage Spells) but it doesn't show Shillelagh, I thought it would be like things that affect the weapon but Flame Blade is summoning a fire blade so its not effecting the weapon, and now I am able to get the same thing on other characters but taking True Strike from Magic Initiate (Wizard)
I'll bet you anything somebody behind the scenes got confused and thought Flame Blade was similar to or the same thing as Green-Flame Blade.
this might be the case honestly never seen that spell before but still doesn't explain why shillelagh isn't on the list unless they just missed it, maybe this feature shouldn't be out yet?? I have never seen this and its not in the update notes either

Unfortunately, they make a lot of updates that aren’t in the release notes.
Flame Blade looks like a bug. I’ll let the devs know.
Shillelagh and True Strike are working as intended.
But can you tell me what the list is supposed to be?? Like is it for spells that effect weapons or a list of if you casted one of these spells you might want to check the spell for damage or??? I just don’t understand why this area is there, and if the 2 are working how they should why aren’t they both part of the weapon info if they do the same thing which is buffing the weapon in one way or another
