Is there a way to add more NPC tokens to the VTT in the campaign without having to create character sheets? I'm new to using vtt coming from roll 20 so still trying to learn a lot of things.
OK I'll try and figure this out what about NPCs tho or are you saying create the homebrew monsters as NPCs? I'm just trying to get more NPC tokens for like different weaponsmiths, etc etc
Then My next question how can we pull like roll20 you can display NPC picture cards to everyone and monster cards like the image of things or special items even places. Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say sorry. But yea say I have a blue dragon monster token on the vtt map, is there a picture card that can be displayed to see a better clearer image for the players to see other than the token?

If you absolutely need a token with unique art for a random NPC, you will need to make a homebrew monster, change the art, and then put that monster on the map. The easiest way however is to just put a commoner token on the map and change their name to "weaponsmith" or something.

I’ve found that when too many tokens have unique art, nothing really stands out. I like to use more generic tokens for background NPCs and save the custom art for big NPCs and monsters. Kind of like how in a show, not every character gets a name. Makes the important ones pop more.
As for showing off pictures like in Roll20, there’s not a built-in card feature yet. But you can upload the image to your campaign notes or screen share it when needed. Not perfect, but it works.
That said, I totally get wanting each NPC or monster to feel unique. You can definitely do that. Like Davyd said the easiest way is to copy an existing creature and change the name, size, and art. You don’t need to build a full stat block unless you want to. I usually grab something close to what I need mechanically and just flavor the rest.

Create homebrew monsters and upload the relevant art. To save time, you can just copy an existing monster stat block such as a commoner
