the problem is, Eberron has a lot of other stuff in it that's more difficult to just rip away for those who are not playing eberron. It's not nearly as poachable as more generic settings. It's distinct, and a product that didn't play into that distinctness is going to anger it's fans. The distinctness is what's undesirable for the people who are not fans.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
Also Eberron has plenty of "Phandelver Analogs" too.
Which makes my point. You can likely find a place to put an FR adventure into eberron. That does not mean you could put an eberron adventure into the FR.
I believe Eberron is next, then if I had to guess it'll be whatever arcane book the remaining wizard subclasses are in, something horror themed (maybe another Ravenloft?) and lastly, Dark Sun.

I believe more is poachable than you think. We've already seen how Artificers were able to make the jump to FR and Krynn for example.
In terms of adventures, while the worlds as a whole are different there's a lot we could do on the local level. A pulp magitech urban adventure from Sharn could be adapted to Ravnica or Waterdeep without too much trouble for instance, or a rollicking jungle adventure from Xen'drik could translate to Chult.
I think you don't understand how quickly I'd check out of a magictech adventure any where it's located :)

There’s clearly a spectrum of opinion (😊) about Eberron, but presumably WotC feel that there’s enough potential interest that they brought out an Eberron book as the first non-FR setting book post-2024. I’d personally rather like to see a proper Eberron adventure published: something in a similar format to Shadow of the Dragon Queen would be welcome.
My big reason for wanting an Eberron campaign (besides really liking the setting) is that we've never had one. Yes I could take Tyranny of Dragons or Lost Mines of Phandelver or any other FR campaign and file off the serial numbers to make it Eberron but that doesn't play directly to most of the settings strengths and totally ignores what makes it unique. I don't think it's too much to ask for just one campaign in 5th edition for one of their most popular settings that as ThelenyiWhinlaw points out they obviously agree is popular enough to be the focus of what would have been the first 2024 book if not for delays

Honestly it feels like the entire point of the Eberron book was to fix the mistake with not making Dragonmarks Feats.

It was just an example, you can run non-magitech in Eberron just fine. Xen'drik, Talenta, and Shadow Marches would make for a great primitive exploration/survival game with things like dinosaurs and bog witches similar to Chult. Or you could do swashbuckling pirates in Lhazaar (Sword Coast), or post-apocalyptic desert survival in the Mournland (Anauroch), or werewolves/fey stuff in Eldeen Reaches (Moonshaes), etc etc. The point is there's plenty of translation capability with the various parallels.

Softening the relationships between dragonmarks and species is one of the things I'm most looking forward to. It's still there as a tendency but it's not a hard barrier anymore.

To be fair, the Dragonmarks work as Origin Feats, which weren’t really a thing at the time of E:RftLW. The other purpose of the new Eberron book is to update the Artificer for 2024 rules. Then again, that could have been done in a setting-agnostic Tasha-like supplement.
I don't see how eberron is less poachable than darksun. Sure less than FR, though being super generic has its problems as well. After planescape and spelljammer I personally don't want to see a 5e darksun book. Eberron I never got into so I wont have a better version in my head for it to compete against.
I think the horror-themed subclasses were going into the Stranger Things release that is upcoming.
Crooked moon as well that was released was horror based. I think Dark Sun in 26 (June), hopefully a printed spell deck for PHB and other supplement. I hate getting pdf and laminating them.

I wrote my own origin feats for it which worked a lot better, before we saw the Forge ones.
Honestly my biggest issue with the new ones is they're almost useless to non casters.

Next books coming i suppose could be;
Eberron: Adventures in Khorvaire
Eberron: Heroes of Khorvaire

If I had to choose, I'd love to have Dark Sun before other settings.
