Here is the setup. Player A is being grappled by creature 1, Player B makes a mele attack against creature 1 and hits, deals damage and is a goliath and inflicts the prone position on creature 1. I think the creature can be prone and also keep grappling but not sure on the RAW? I think the creature can continue the grapple but not sure. Thanks.

It's RAW as Athanar90 say Prone condition doesn't prevents the creature from maintaining their grapple

They are only prone, not incapacitated.

Nothing in the Prone condition prevents the creature from maintaining their grapple.
