I have numerous adventures and sourcebooks purchased along the years. But even the old versions keep getting "Update Available" option on them time and time again. Why?
I'm more understanding when it comes to the new content. They could contain mistakes or something of the sort. But repeatedly updating the new material is also strange. It's not like the software needs security updates.
Why does all the material keep getting updates and what are those updates? I have not found an apparent log of changes. I'd like to look at such "patch notes" if they exist.
Often it's just a wording change to match newer sources, correct a typo or some other small thing. But when they bring out a new source with a new species or something many of the books get updated. When the Dhampir and Artificer were revised several sources that referenced them were also updated.
