This is sort of a random question but does anyone know for sure whether or not silkborn have any hair? I'm getting ready to play in a crooked moon campaign eventually and because the character art in the book showed a single silkborn with a head covering, I took that to mean that they didn't have hair or ears and made my character art bald.
There's not a lot of fan made character art out there, and among the few, about half I've found have hair and half don't show any. If it's lore accurate I would like my character to have some hair lol, but the actual material seems subjective so I'm wondering if anyone else has opinions or maybe knows one way or the other?
Mechanically, they have an ability called "bejeweled carapace", essentially verifying that their head and/or back is protected by bedazzled armor. Not sure that is necessarily compatible with hair if you are trying to run the species as the creators envisioned. That said, this is probably an "ask your DM with your preferences stated" situation, since the DM could envision the species differently in their version of the setting.
You could also use the 2025 half-species rules, which essentially state you take the mechanics of one species, but can add some non-mechanuchal flavor elements (like hair) from another.

ModeratorThe book doesn't say either way. (I'd probably just pick a real-life spider to use as inspiration.)
