So I have made a few homebrew creatures for my story and I want to include with official creatures with them but every time I check sources it seems like I could either have official sources or my homebrews. I may be missing something but I'm either okay being able to get both at the same time or if there is a button that I could check to say I jsut want monster and creatures from sources I own with out having to sift through each one.
Where are you searching? If you're looking at the Monsters page, that only has official and third-party blocks in it, no homebrew. That will never change as far as we can tell. You need to search your Homebrew Collection or, if it's only your monsters, Homebrew Creations.
If you're using Maps, however, your homebrew monsters will show up in the token finder without any settings adjustment.
They also show up in the stand-alone encounter builder.
Sorry I was looking in the encounter builder when trying to add them into the encounter it seems i can have sources I own checked and used homebrew but it might have something to do the fact that I dont have them published but I'm not sure
You don't need them published. (I don't recommend publishing one's homebrew pretty much ever.)
If you're filtering by source, it's not going to show homebrew because there's no "homebrew" source. (There probably should be.)
But unfiltered, I have no trouble searching for my homebrew in the encounter builder.
