I was reading up on the new Workbooks that are being released in May to support the '24 (5.5) Sourcebooks, and was curious about if any of you have heard if these will be released with an Alternate Cover Variant?
Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
I kind of figured as much as these are smaller books and will only run $26 each.
I like the collectable aspect of the Alternate Covers, so I wanted to make sure before I made a plan to pick up the standard cover versions :)
Separate, but somewhat related question that I thought of while typing this response... Will these be released early in LGS' like standard books, or will they only have a 'standard' release everywhere?
I re-reviewed the 2026 Calendar ReleasePost, and don't see these books even listed there :(
Cheers!

Greetings D&D Beyond and Community,

No, because they're not game books. Alternate covers are something specific to LGS' for game books

They're not game books, so there's no reason to anticipate a release pattern that follows game books.
Also you don't need to reply like you're responding to a work email 🤣🤣🤣

Oh come on, it’s adorable that he always says “greetings” at the start of a post
I dunno, I always feel like I'm about to be asked about those TPS reports being done by the end of day LMAO

It's weird that books listed as official companions for the 2024 PHB and DMG aren't game books.
