like I said in the Thread Title i would want to know witch 3rd party IP or non-D&D 1st party IP you would like adapted to 5e or 5.5e ether from Wizard of the Coast or a 3rd party content Publisher.
First i would like to elaborate on the difference between 3rd party IP and 3rd party content:
3rd party IP : every IP that isn't owned by Wizard of the Coast/Hasbro
3rd party content : content that is ether published by a 3rd party content Creator/Publisher or is created by Wizard of the Coast/Hasbro though a 3rd party IP license deal (this license Deal can also between an 3rd party IP owner and a 3rd party content Publisher)
Secondly what is a non-D&D 1st party IP:
non-D&D 1st party IP : an IP that is owned by Wizard of the Coast or its Mother concern Hasbro examples are: MTG, Transformers, My Little Pony, Monopoly, Cluedo
So what i want to see i 3rd party IPs that don't have official licensed published 5e or 5.5e content from 3rd party content Creators/Publishers (please use for these this Thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/185985-what-3rd-party-content-do-you-want-next ) . If Wizard of the Coast created 3rd party IP content for 5e or 5.5e than it is allowed to wright down that you want more from these 3rd party Collaborations in this thread (examples: Stranger Things, Minecraft, Rick and Morty, Ted, Lego, Acquisitions Incorporated) same for 1st party non-D&D content (example: MTG).
So before i go and List my own IP Wishes a short exercise in old Partnership for older Versions of D&D that i found by my Research i old D&D settings:
Conan and Red Sonja setting: this was an old setting for advanced D&D this setting includes two IP that exist in the same world but have two different IP owners, Conan the Barbarian is owned by Heroic Signatures and Red Sonja is owned by Red Sonja LLC.
Diablo II setting: in a Partnership between Wizard of the Coast and Blizzard Entertainment this setting was created for AD&D 2end edition and D&D 3rd edition.
Warcraft setting: IP owner is Blizzard Entertainment/Microsoft was published as an official D&D setting under Wizard of the Coast for 3rd edition but published though White Wolf Publishing
So do you want one of these three settings back.
Now to my List of IP that I would like to see for D&D:
Legend of Zelda (Nintendo)
Star Wars (Lucasfilm/Disney)
One Piece ( Eiichiro Oda)
That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime(Tensura) (Fuse (author), Mitz Vah (illustrator), Micro Magazine (GC Novels)(Light Novel), Kodansha (Manga), Eight Bit (Anime))
You hit 2 of the 3 big properties that I'd gladly support with my credit card in your setup. I am a big fan of the SW5E adaptation of 5E to the Star Wars universe and would love to see an official 5E-based game for that IP. My significant other is a huge Warcraft fan and would really enjoy a new adaptation of that franchise. Champions of Azeroth exists online to somewhat fill this niche, but it's not the same as having official content. I can't imagine Warcraft is popular enough today to get any official support. Something Star Wars related might be more viable. My understanding is the current Star Wars TTRPG (formerly published by FFG, now Edge I believe) is not something the current owners can really support well.
The third property I'd love to see receive a 5E supplement is Runeterra, the world that the Arcane animated series on Netflix and the League of Legends video game are set in. That world seems to have quite a bit of lore associated with it and Arcane was so well done that it made me very interested in it as a campaign setting.
Honestly, i would love a Wheel of Time adaptation but the way wheel of time's magic system works would start to rub up against 5.5's philosophy, and i got to say D&D's views on magic are a little more aligned with my own.
There was supposedly a "The Secret World" expansion for 5E, but i have heard next to nothing about it, so i kinda want to see that tried again, but with more... everything.
Would also kinda like to see a Space and Planar travel book from the perspective of seized and translated/written out Mind Flayer records, expanding more on their history, or going nuts and muddling it even further to give it more interpretations. ( would also love a book on Psionics that would fit in neatly here )
Would also love a Book on the Drow from the perspective of their Non-Evil cities like Imburlur, and delve deep into the dichotomy of them as a people and their struggles against perceptions. think there is some real meat there.
thing is, i doubt i will ever see these things. I will likely get chided for wanting them.

You may be right there but Free League did it with the "Lord of the Ring" franchise and that also didn't follow the 5e or 5.5e philosophy.

Yea that sounds interesting and fit this Thread as an 3rd Party IP quit well

Not chiding at you for wanting them but I Fail to see the 3rd Party IP in that. If it would be part of the D&D IP who is 1st party but not Non-D&D first Party as described in my starting post. (have to throw that out here because part of your Post is what i wanted to see in this Thread) Still must say i like your idea, but it dose not fit in this forum thread sorry.

Dark Tides of Bilgewater was on DnDBeyond at one time but that only covered a single pirate haven on Runeterra. Better than nothing, but a very small corner of the world.
Free League is releasing "Twilight Sword", which is explicitly inspired by Legend of Zelda. Not 5e, obviously, but if you're interested, you can look it up.
Personally, I'm really not a fan of adapting settings to engines. D&D5e is fantastic for portraying D&D. Not so much for even pretty adjacent stuff like LotR. If I want to play, say, Star Wars, I'd rather they did a custom built engine for it.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I personally don't want DND to go full Magic:The Gathering with crossovers, due to the dubious quality of a ton of those crossover blitz cards.
& a lot of Hasbro properties don't fit into DND well. Same as a ton of anime.
We already have a bunch of 3pp that ape concepts from anime, too.
Minecraft, Lego & a lot of other 3rd-party properties barely fit in.
But if I HAD to pick one...
Garth Nix's Sabriel, Lirael, & Abhorsen. The Old Kingdom fits DND a LOT better, & Charter Mages, Great Charters, Free Magic sorcerers & that setting's version of Necromancers would be cool.

When I talk about a 5E-ified version of a Star Wars game I'm talking about something similar to how Star Wars Saga was based on 3E/3.5E. So a lot of similarities but still a fair amount of customization, too. I know lots of people like to play multiple disparate game systems but I find it's much easier to get someone to play DnD or a close offshoot than learn something fully new and much prefer that baseline comfort level myself.

Hi, thanks for the tip with "Twilight Sword", but do I understand that correctly it is only inspired from Legend of Zelda? then I won`t be able to play the Zelda Species like Zora or Goronen.
By the way reasons for not wanting 3rd party IPs in D&D 5e or 5.5e are also welcomed here, one of the reasons I wanted to open this thread is that in the other Forum Thread to move the requests for only IP that don´t have Books for D&D 5e or 5.5e here her.

I completely with you there with your MTG example (even if I like Unieveres Beyond to some degree), MTG rarely releases new Card sets in there original settings nowadays, I personally more in favor of 3rd Party Publishers releasing Books for these IP in 5e or 5.5e than for Wizard of the Coast/Hasbro so that they also focusing more on releasing old settings like Ghostwalk, Birthreight , Council of Wyrms and Co.
Because I came to late in this hobby, I really would like to have Minecraft only that the free claimable Monster Compendium comes back.
If Marvel is publishing its own TTRPG I doubt seriously Star Wars (or Disney IP) was licenced to WotC.
All horror franchise could become a crossover with Ravenloft, for example "Evil Dead", but also "Ghostbusters" or "Buffy vampire slayer".
Warcraft, Zelda and Runeterra(League of Legends) shouldn't be an impossible licence.
* A couple of times I have imagined a D&D mash-up version of "Dandadan" manga+anime.
Hi that Marvel or Star Wars is not licensed by WotC dose not mean the one who got the TTRPG license can´t make a 5e or 5.5e version of his product. Like Free League did it with Lord of the Rings or how Chaosim made an Chuthullu 5e book for D&DBeyond. I would more like it if the creator of SW5E wold get the license but who knows.
Your idea for horror IP (some of the older ones could be in public domain now) would very mach fit in the Ravenloft : Masque of the Red Death subsetting i think.
Also don`t underestimate Nintendo they are very much protective of there IP similar to Disney.
Personally, I am against IP crossovers - though, not so much that I feel overly emotionally invested in my antagonism as some folks would. Mostly, I just do not see the point - if you want to crossover content, one can just do that. You do not need a specific book to make a crossover - you can just reskin content from D&D for that crossover. Moreover, as past crossover content being pulled from purchase on Beyond shows, there can be rights issues that make things a little wonky. Feels kind of bad that there is official content programmed into the digital already that new players will never be able to get because the content’s rights expired.
If I had to choose something though, it would be Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. This product has a few key advantages to it. First, it is public domain, which makes things nice and clean. Second, it already was adapted into D&D in 1983, so it is less a pure crossover and more a throwback to classic D&D. Finally, it covers a design space 5e is lacking - there’s been a number of products, including Witchlight and some D&D Beyond supplements that touch on Feywild lore, but not a true, large form sourcebook covering content that can be adapted to the Feywild. Content that is generally applicable outside the crossover is a major selling point that Wonderland could provide.
If Witchlight was an official setting this could be a good place for crossovers with family-friendly franchises. How would be a mash-up version of "Sailor Moon" in Witchlight?
New Cappena could be right for a "mash-up crossover" with some noir-punk IP, for example.... "Gotham knights". It wouldn't be the original plane but an alternate timeline or Uchrony.
Deals for intercompany crossovers are difficult, and this causes those to work like limited edition, and this is a good reason because fans suffer FOMO.
If some other company wanted to licence its IP I suppose the reason would be to promote this to earn more brand power.
Spelljammer is right for mash-up version of sci-fi franchises.
Fortnite could be a serious design challenge for WotC but I suspect this would use a new version of d20 Modern instead using D&D5.5.
I'll always suggest doing deep dives into interesting stories and franchises and using those as inspiration for telling stories that work inside D&D's framework. It works much better than trying to copy and paste those IPs into D&D's mechanics when they're not really compatible.
This way is win-win. It avoids complicated licensing and cross-promotional deals that make ultimately unsatisfying products. And for DMs who want to use other IPs as inspiration for creating D&D adventures it's more work examining stories to learn how they work and how to adapt those themes and tropes in new ways. Yes, I am serious and earnest in saying that more work for us DMs is a good thing. Creativity is a muscle that atrophies when we don't exercise it.
