I bought at launch The Forgotten Realms books and I enjoyed its content. Yet, there is one thing bugging me enough to make a Thread; Toril.
I was pondering where the Shou people come from and after some research, it came from outside the present Atlas on dndbeyond.
I was using Eberron, then I was pondering about airships in the forgotten Realms and it is said to come mostly from Halruaa. Not on the Atlas.
I was pondering about a bunch of other things within Toril...
The World map is not a world map, but Faerun. I thought Faerun was the planet, but is a Continent.
I need the Toril official world map. I write this down to see if there could be enough interests over the community for Dndbeyond.com to notice a viability interest for its team to make it happen! I imagine a Googlemap design, where you may move the globe and see its continents and be able to use it for your campaigns within Forgotten Realms.
Thank you for the reply, and yes, I am aware older editions hold such prize information, which I found a third party website holding Toril's entire map alongside many of its key cities. Yet, it would be so enjoyable to carry Toril's lores into the newest version, which would probably be a nightmarish logistical mess... Yet, I put it up there, rarely will my post be hooked into the developers's gaze, but if I do not try, I will never know!
Unfortunately, a 3rd edition map won't be correct anyway, because during the spellplague significant geographic areas swapped between Abeir and Toril (second sundering seems to have reverted much of that, but there's still a lot of inconsistencies).

AFAIK the entire world map hasn't been printed since 3rd edition.
