Why WotC is barely releasing new adventure modules in 5.5?

We'll learn what the Q4 sourcebook is next week at GenCon, and likely most of the '27 roadmap during the Keynote.
One adventure per year is pretty reasonable given the rate most groups tend to consume the content, so for official content I'd make the educated guess we'll probably see dates for the Luke Gygax 'Melf's Guide to Greyhawk', a Book of Vile Darkness themed release built around the Villainous UAs, a DarkSun/Athas book if the Apocalyptic and Psion UAs are going ahead, and another adventure likely alongside the next Grab-Bag/PHB Expansion or special-focused monster-themed supplement (Fizban/Bigby's) like we're getting with Arcana Unleashed and Deadfall.

 I think as educated guesses based on UA and leaks that’s a pretty good list.

If they’re still on schedule for the site rebuild ending by the end of this year I think the third party announcements in 2027 weeks can expect a lot of the more complicated but highly demanded books that feature multiple subclasses and third party classes that up until now haven’t been possible so that should be an interesting list as well 

Who are the main third party publishers for DnD? If I may ask.

Not sure if they’re necessarily the main third party publishers, different people use different metrics, but the ones D&D Beyond seem most willing to partner with are Kobold Press, who’ve done things like Tome of Beasts and Book of Ebon Tides, Ghostfire Gaming, responsible for the Grim Hollow books and the Drakkenheim books, Mage Hand Press, who did Valda’s Spire of Secrets, and Hit Point Press, who did Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting, the Griffons Saddlebags and the Humblewood books. DDB has also partnered with several publishers who have only had one very successful Kickstarter so size isn’t necessarily a requirement if something seems like it would be popular enough to sell

Thank you very much for the information! I'm asking because I know almost nothing about third party content. I only know Kobold Press and I love what they do.

There aren't really 'main' third-party publishers. Third-Party basically covers any external publications and partnered content - Ghostfire Games, Kobold Press, even Paizo when Beyond hosted a 5e version of the Pathfinder Abomination Vaults.

If the leaked World of Warcraft collaboration for November turns out to be legitimate next week, that could be another Third Party setting like the recent Lord of the Rings 5e - especially if it is going to require its' own Base Classes per the intended back-end rework and support that's been taking place with D&D Beyond.
