After playing D&D for a while, I started noticing that some of the smallest things can become part of the experience.
It could be a favorite miniature, a character notebook, a custom map, or even a set of dice that has been with you through many campaigns.
At first, I didn’t think much about these small details. I mainly focused on the story, characters, and the people at the table. But over time, I realized that these little things often become connected to important moments in a campaign.
For example, some players like using dice that match their characters, while others simply prefer something that feels comfortable and easy to read during a game.
I recently became more interested in different styles of 10 sided dice and how players choose the ones they enjoy using. Some prefer simple designs, while others like unique shapes, colors, or themes.
Of course, the dice themselves are not what makes a campaign great. The memories, stories, and people around the table are always the most important part.
I’m curious — what is one small thing that makes your D&D sessions feel more special?
