Not sure about how the Festering Blast spell is supposed to work... It says that the spell has a duration of one minute... Does this mean that the Line cast is maintained for a minute? If so, that's a little broken. The description is a little confusing.
The line occurs at the time of casting. Anyone who fails their save against it takes damage and is poisoned for the duration, taking additional damage each turn until they either save against the poison effect at the end of their turns or the ten rounds end.
What Elrowade stated about the Festering Blast spell is correct, the 'Line' is only at the time of casting.
It would be similar to the spell Contagion, you would not need to keep touching the target for 7 days :)
Hope this helps,
Cheers!

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
A 60-foot-long, 10-foot-wide Line of miasma blasts from you in a direction you choose. Each creature in the Line must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a target takes 4d10 Necrotic damage and has the Poisoned condition for the duration.
That's the only part that persists, the Poisoned condition.
That condition does have a rider:
A creature Poisoned by this spell takes 2d10 Poison damage at the start of each of its turns. At the end of each of its turns, a Poisoned target repeats the save, ending the spell on itself on a success.
But that's based on the condition, not directly on the duration

Single burst. Potential recurring poison.
