Been playing a lot of BG3 (and some Solasta) lately, and there are a few mechanics that feel like they'd be genuinely fun at the table if adapted — like Karlach's Uncontrolled Bonus Action rage-fire mechanic, or the way surface interactions (grease + fire, wet + lightning) are so satisfying on screen. Obviously some of that only works because a computer is tracking it, but I'm curious what smaller mechanics you'd actually try to homebrew into a live session.
Anyone tried porting a video game ability into their game and had it work well (or blow up in a DM's face)?
