I like the Illusion Adept Feat but for one thing. It allows the Feat taker to ignore V, S and M components when casting Illusion spells which is great. But an Illusionist can already ignore the V component when casting Illusions. I suspect that in real game play this equates to the same thing making this aspect of the Feat rather redundant when taken by an Illusionist (most valuable when taken by other characters but that's another matter). In each case the character can cast Illusion spells without others knowing. Does anyone think there is a major difference when playing?
As an aside I don't think any of these Adept Feats should be available to all spell casters but that is also another matter.
In large part, it will come down to how your DM rules using components. Still using S,M without V might make you quiet, but someone looking at you will still see you waving your wand around and know you are casting something, and then when an illusion appears, put together what happened. Honestly, I’d say if your DM isn’t accounting for this, they are making that ability much stronger than it is meant to be. Or in a case where you have been captured, you focus and/or other components taken, you can still cast, manacled or for some reason not able to move your hands to make gestures, you can still cast. So bound and gagged, you are still able to cast some spells. Granted, you may not be captured ever in a campaign, so this use would be situational at best.
