Why does Project Lamordia Have Viktra’s Creation be Adam instead of Adam being a recreation and imperfect but the closest to a working Mordenheim’s Monster. They made her Straight. What jerk would do that. Seriously tell me why she’s suddenly straight once she’s a CEO? I need the Girlboss, because it’s funny and I like 5e Lamordia for the Yuri jokes to rival jokes about Victor and Yaoii.
In the text, Adam’s pronouns are he/him, but Viktra’s romantic partner is conspicuously called “the lover” without a specific gender. This is in line with the general adventure’s attempt to keep as much as possible ambiguous (a common trope of this type of horror), either to allow the DM to fill in the details or keep the players in the unsettling realm of ambiguity.
Notably, the adventure regularly says that something went wrong with Viktra’s attempt to create Adam - but not what that something is. The created body’s sex is as good a reason as any other.
I was confused about this too honestly Especially since even a book as recent as "Horrors Within" mentions the person that Viktra was in love with (enough to for the Domain of Dread to be created in the first place) was a woman named Elise.

Op you an I have a differant view on what is defined as Strieght in this context. Viktra can be what the DM chooses, but in the lore she loved a woman and that is where her original domain came from, this new story and domain makes me think she's a bit Bi, but perhaps something else happened.
How do we know Elise wasn't trans, Viktra is probably Trans, as the 2nd ed version was Victor Mordenhein...
Also in 2nd ed, Victor married Elise, he made Adam as the Son they never could have, Adam wanted Elise, Victor became insane. Eventually Elise died under mysterious circumstances... Victor animated her corpse, and the mist took his lands into his Domain of Dread.
Yeah. Particularly, taking a character who's been previously depicted as being in love with someone of the same gender and then changing that to be someone of a different gender, that is not something I would ever think of as bi representation. That just feels like straightwashing.

Alright. Thanks for the horror aspect.

I think Viktra’s bi. In one domain, she created a female lover, in the other she created a male lover.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms. My pronouns are she/they.
I like reading and writing, but I’m not much of an artist.

Now apply that to the new lore with Viktra.
Ambiguous representation is not representation.
