Greetings D&D Beyond Community,
In case you missed it on the front page, D&D Beyond launched their new Search Functionality as a part of the site redesign:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/2276-new-and-improved-site-level-search
I have been searching a few things that I have had trouble locating in the past, and it works wonderfully!
This seems like it will be very helpful in the future :)
Very excited for these changes to start rolling out!
Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty.
Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers;
Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas.
Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
Certainly a vast improvement - one might even say it is functional now. But we are still lagging far, far behind the 4e digital search tools, which had vastly better filtering options and the critically important ability to exclude content from searches. Right now, content searches are only inclusive - if you want to exclude a certain, single book from your search for whatever reason, you have to add every single other product.
I think a lot of that basic functionality is less important for the main search system for the site, but I hope they provide more complex filtering for the specific Items, Monsters, and Spells pages. But, for now, I’ll be happy that I can at least search the site and all of its content.
